Our Vineyards
The Bodegas Mauro vineyards are spread across 100 hectares with an average vine age of 35 years and yields of between 3,000 and 5,000 kilograms of grapes per hectare.
The grapes are grown on bush vines and planted on light, well filtered, and easy-to-work calcareous clay soils.
The primary grape is Tempranillo, which sets the character given its firm structure, delicateness and mature tannins. Other varieties are also grown in minority such as Syrah (freshness and fragrance) and Cabernet Sauvignon (vigour and precision).
Our vineyards are organically grown with a gradual conversion to biodynamic farming as a guarantee for preventive and sustainable viticulture which helps extend the life of the soil and foster biodiversity.
